Valentinos Mattheou, the artist, was born in Limassol. He studied Graphic Arts and at the same time took courses on drawing, face anatomy and installations at Christos Potsidis art studio in Limassol. He continued his education by specializing in portraits and calligraphy at Jack Fumanis art studio in Nicosia. At his artwork, created with acrylic and oil paints, you can trace influences from Impressionism and Surrealism, and at the same time you can see the leeding tendency for a completely realistic representation of his objects through vivid and intense colourful compilations. Valentinos now lives in Nicosia and he has already participated in a number of group exhibitions. His first personal exhibition took place in May 2013, at the cultural center “Melina Merkouri” in the old town of Nicosia city center.
