VAMPIRA
Ingredients
- ice
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 ounces blanco tequila (100% agave)
- 1 teaspoon Mexican hot sauce such as Cholula
- 1 ounceClamato
- 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Mexicanquirt or other grapefruit soda
Directions
- Fill a 10-ounce glass with ice. Scatter salt on the ice, then pour in the tequila, hot sauce, Clamato, and lemon juice. Top up the glass with grapefruit soda and stir gently. Garnish with lemon and serve immediately.
CINNAMON
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
Directions
- Mix sugar, salt, cayenne, and cinnamon in a small bowl, then pour onto a saucer. Pour 2 tablespoons lime juice onto a second saucer. Turn serving glass (martini glass or old fashioned) in lime juice to coat the outer rim. Then spin glass in cayenne mixture, rotating slowly to coat.
- Add tamarind concentrate, tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, lemon juice, and Cointreau to mixing glass. Fill with ice and shake well, about 30 seconds. Strain into serving glass. Garnish with cinnamon stick if desired.
HURRICANE
Ingredients
- 2 ounces dark Jamaican rum
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1 ounce passion fruit syrup
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and add plenty of crushed ice. Shake well and pour, unstrained, into old fashioned glass, tiki mug or Hurricane glass.
- Garnish with orange slice and a cherry
PALOMA BRAVA
Ingredients
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 ounces reposado tequila, such as Don Julio
- 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice, from 1 lime
- 2 ounces fresh orange juice, from 1 small orange
- 6 ounces fresh grapefruit juice, from 1 small pink grapefruit
- 4 ounces grapefruit soda
- Agave nectar to taste
- Garnish: Lime wheel
Directions
- Fill a large glass mug with ice. Add salt, tequila, lime, orange, and grapefruit juice. Stir gently. Top off with grapefruit soda, add agave nectar to taste and garnish with lime wheel.
SANTACARLA
Ingredients
- 2 ounces silver tequila
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
- 3 dashes grapefruit bitters
- Sparkling water
- Garnish: lemon wheel and mint sprig
Directions
- Fill Collins glass with ice. Add tequila, lemon juice, simple syrup, and bitters directly into the glass, top with sparkling water and stir gently. Garnish with lemon wheel and mint sprig.
TART CHERRY
Ingredients
- 1/2 ounce tart cherry juice concentrate
- 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice, from 1 lime
- 1 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
- 3 ounces vodka
- Garnish: lime slice or twist
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tart cherry juice concentrate, Cointreau, lime juice, and vodka. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with lime slice or twist and serve.
BLOOD
Ingredients
- 2 ounces pomegranate juice, fresh if possible
- 1 ounce fresh orange juice
- 1 ounce vodka
- 1/2 ounce Cardamaro
- 1 egg white
- Pomegranate molasses to garnish
Directions
- Combine pomegranate juice, orange juice, vodka, Cardamaro, and egg white in the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds without ice to emulsify the egg white.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish drink with drizzled pomegranate molasses and serve
AQUAVIT
Ingredients
- 1 cup vodka
- 1 sprig fresh dill
- One (2-inch) strip of lemon zest, without pith
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 pod star anise
- 1/4 teaspoon fennel seed
Directions
- Combine pomegranate juice, orange juice, vodka, Cardamaro, and egg white in the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 seconds without ice to emulsify the egg white.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish drink with drizzled pomegranate molasses and serve
APPLE CRISP
Ingredients
- 1 ounce Lairds 100 proof apple brandy
- 1/2 ounce Cardamom-Infused whiskey
- 3/4 ounce fresh juice from 1 lemon
- 3/4 ounce honey syrup
- Club soda
- Garnish: lemon twist
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add apple brandy, cardamom-infused whiskey, lemon juice, and honey syrup. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds.
- Strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Top with soda and garnish with lemon twist.
KENTUCKY CORPSE REVIVER
Ingredients
- 3/4 ounce Elijah Craig Whiskey
- 3/4 ounce Pierre Ferrand Cura?ƒ?§ao
- 3/4 ounce fresh juice from 1 lemon
- 3/4 ounce Lillet Blanc
- Garnish: mint sprig
Directions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add whiskey, curacao, lemon juice, and Lillet Blanc. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with mint sprig.
MOJITO
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 10 leaves fresh mint
- 1 1/2 ounces white rum
- 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
- club soda
- 2 sprigs fresh mint, for garnish
- 1 lime twist, for garnish
Directions
- Place sugar and mint leaves in a serving glass, and gently muddle just until the leaves release their oils.
- Fill glass with ice. Add rum and lime juice. Stir to combine.
- Top with club soda and add mint sprigs and lime twist for garnish.
PLANTERS PUNCH
Ingredients
- 3 ounces Coruba dark Jamaican rum
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
Directions
- Combine ingredients in a tall glass and fill with crushed ice. Swizzle with a bar spoon until a frost forms on the outside of the glass. The ice will settle as you do this; add more crushed ice to fill, garnish with a mint sprig.
